Accidet/Incident Policy
The safety of your child is paramount and I will ensure I will do everything I can to protect your child from hurting themselves. However sometimes accidents do happen, below are the procedures on how I will deal with such a situation.
- I will reassure and comfort the child
- Assess the extent of their injuries and call for medical assistance if required
- If first aid treatment is needed I will carry this out as I have been trained to do
- Once the child has settled I will contact you and inform you of the accident
- You will be given a written report of what happened which is to be signed by you
It is important that I am kept informed of any accidents that have happened out with my care.
